PC 5 & 6 Milton Keynes

Saturday 17 March 2018

Travelled to Milton Keynes on the Friday to prepare for the weekends events looking to build on the progression made in Barnsley the week before, Jabba had drawn Daryl gurney and ready to play st 12pm the fire alarm went off and all first matches were put back to 12:45. Games began at the rescheduled time and Daryl power scored his way to a 6-1 win with no complaints from Jabba who lost to the better player on the day.

Sunday 18 March 2018

Another disappointing day at Milton Keynes, going down 4-6 in round one to Jelle Klaasen. 2 bad draws in 2 days, drawing against seeds both times, although the headline fact was down to the conditions being ice cold in the venue, with many players complaining. Sleeves rolled up ready for the next one in April. Exhibitions in Skegness, Wainfleet and Mablethorpe over the next fortnight to come.

Euro qualifiers 3 and 4

Jamie was disappointed to not qualify for either Euro tour event on Friday night, that said, a couple of decent performances going forward. Wins over Pete Hudson and Darren Johnson set up a final round match against the impressive Cameron Menzies and his super finishing and 9 darter put Jabba to the sword pretty efficiently, no complaints. In the second qualifier, Paul Nicholson hit 3 ton plus finishes in the the opening round against Jabba to put him out 3-6, again, no complaints.

Saturday 10 March 2018.

PC 3

Tough opening round draw against Jeffrey De Zwaan and a spirited fight back from 2-5 down to win 6-5 was a nice birthday present! However, another emerging Dutchman – Jermaine Wattimena put Jamie out in round two 4-6.

PC 4

After some encouraging signs over the previous two days, Jabba was looking forward to the day with usual preparations put in place. Early wins against Jose Justicia (6-3), Ryan Miekle (6-4) and Pete Hudson (6-3) completed winning the group and a last 16 match against Luke Woodhouse. From 2-4 down to 5-4 up turned the match but a nervy end by both saw Jabba cross the line 6-5. A quarter final match against Adrian Lewis was next and power scoring from jackpot put him in command 4-0 and it was one game too many for Jabba as Adie won 6-2. All in all a much better weekend and looking forward to the upcoming events as Jabba will be looking to build on these performances.
