2013 World Grand Prix; Jabba vs The Power

2013 World Grand Prix; Jabba vs The Power

The stage is set, and the players of the PDC are all in Dublin ready for the Grand Prix of darts, the top 32 players in the world going head 2 head for the title.

Jamie has a tough draw in round 1, going up against the Guvnor, Phil ‘the power’ Taylor, but Jabba is looking forward to the game, and looking foward to showing all his fans that he can beat the very best up on that stage.  It’s all live on Sky Sports 1 from 7pm.

Don’t forget it’s a “double-in” format (and double-out of course), so that does make the games a little more unpredictable – getting away fast in every leg is so important!  It’s a set format too, so going behind does not always mean the game is lost.

First Round:   Jamie Caven 1-2 Phil Taylor

Jabba showed some true bottle after the first set went The Power’s way – throwing some great darts in set two.  But it wasn’t to be, as Taylor upped his game in the third set to win, but Jamie will take lots of positives from the game, as he pushed Taylor to a 99+ average in the double-in format (add 10 because of that).
